EMMA Ireland, changes for 2010At the recent AGM it was decided that due to the lack of proper events, lack of industry support, economic conditions & the general economic climate, EMMA Ireland will not run a full competition season this year.
Rather than hold no events at all, it was decided that We will be in attendance at some dealer open days to run a reduced style event, based on an "Advice clinic" format.
For a reduced fee you can have a qualified EMMA judge inspect your install & listen to your car, provide you with feedback & fill out a scoresheet, as per a normal event. There will, however, be no league or qualification points awarded.

Proposed SPL rules changes for 201025/11/09 The draft of the proposed changes to the EMMA Ireland SPL rules are available to study/comment on. EMMA Ireland Finals results25/11/09The results from the EMMA Ireland finals are now available online. New EMMA Ireland Forum launched25/11/09A new look forum for EMMA Ireland has been installed on the site.
This forum replaces the temporary forum that was installed after the site was hacked & the original forum data was corrupted.
Unfortunately due to the loss of the database all members will have to re-register to post on the forum. EMMA Ireland Finals 2009 
Following the postponement of the 2009 Coolnights event we have been forced to seek an alternative venue for our 2009 finals.
Due to the lack of any suitable upcoming events Audio Advice have kindly agreed to host the Finals at their premises in Portadown. The Finals will be held on Sunday 22nd November 2009. Entry forms can be downloaded from the events section.
This event will have a full compliment of competition SQ & SPL classes. Sound Quality - Entry level

- Advanced Class
- Master Class
SPL (Sound Pressure Level) - Stock 1-260 (no wall)
- Stock 261+ (no wall)
- Advanced Open/Professional

JL Audio evening Friday 2nd October

Hi there guys , we are pleased to announce details of our upcoming JL Audio seminar to be held in Macroom on Friday the 2nd of October from 7.30 pm, the first of its kind in Ireland!
Celsus have kindly organised that Steve Turrisi who is Senior Training Director with JL Audio, and based at their headquaters in Florida, will visit a select number of JL dealers in the UK and Ireland. So this is your oppertunity to gain a bit of knowledge from one of the top people in the car audio industry.
Topics will range from correct selection of products right up to system set up. There will also be a Q and A session plus a range of JL demo cars that we will be pre booking for people attending so that you will get a propper listen to what can be achieved by using the right product correctly.
There is no charge for this event, but numbers are limited, so please give me a call and we can book you in for a truly unique event!

EMMA website back online Following the hacking of our website yesterday we have spent considerable time & effort to get it back online ASAP.
Much thanks to Barry for all his help getting us back online so quickly. Unfortunately, due to the hackers, we have lost the original forum database & all it's posts.
We have, however, been able to install an alternative version which is now up & running.
The one major downside is all members details are lost, so you will have to re-register. |
Emma-Irl.com site hacked Unfortunatly the Emma Ireland website was hacked this morning by a Turkish hacker going by the username "ufuq".
They are known to have hacked many thousands of websites in recent weeks, so we it would appear were just another target for them. Besides changing the home page, they managed to corrupt the website database.
This has resulted in a complete loss of all images/data as well as all forum postings. This database is unrecoverable as the host was unable to supply a complete daily backup of the web site.
We will do our utmost to recover what we can from our own personal backups, but the forum data appears to be unrecoverable. Once we re-install the forum software you are asked to sign up again and hopefully get things moving. |
